Phantom of the Opera, The (1925)

3/4 stars

Although the version I saw wasn't touched up, this was still a superb piece of artistry. The effects of just Lon Chaney himself are worth watching, though the story (having been told many time since) is a classic as well. I admit to having not seen much classic horror, but if it's all this good I won't be disappointed.
