Ashley Albright (Lindsay Lohan) was the luckiest girl in the world. Jake Hardin (Chris Pine) was the unluckiest boy in the world. When these two locked lips at a party, their luck changed in “Just My Luck.”

For a movie with such an interesting plot, the writing for this movie is nowhere near up to par. I didn’t really expect much, and not much is what I got. The story is flawed even by its own rules which are never really understandable in the first place. I know it’s not a “thinking” movie, but they could have spent a little more time on the story.

The real problem is that this film is a one trick pony. The first half hour of the movie is set-up that could be done in five minutes, and the rest of the movie is the same thing only opposite for an hour. In the end it plays out in a cliché way, even throwing in unnecessary stereotypes here and there.

“Just My Luck” is not really worth your time if you have something better to do. It’s a fun watch once, but don’t expect yourself to want to see it again.
