This is definitely the funniest and goriest horror movie I have ever seen. Beats Evil Dead II in my opinion, which really means a lot. Evil Dead II was my favorite horror flick for many, many years (probably have to say it still is, even though Dead/Alive surpasses it in some respects.) There is comedy, gore, zombies, blood, guts, a butt kicking priest, and an infamous scene with a lawnmower. Oh yeah, and a demented zombie baby. If you like gore and humor mixed together, Dead/Alive is definitely for you. Peter Jackson's earlier movies are in stark contrast to his later work (King Kong, Lord of the Rings Trilogy) but his talent as a director is evident in this one.
