TIME IS ALL THAT WE HAVE

Terminal Illness. At death's door. Denial. Inner healing. Legacy. These are some of the issues MICHAEL KEATON had to reckon with when he came face to face with death. NICOLE KIDMAN's role was equally surprising and challenging. A fully supportive and dedicated wife. Amazingly, KIDMAN had to grapple with the same issues even if her existence was not in jeopardy here. S NGOR (from 'Killing Fields') came to KEATON's rescue by helping him confront his unresolved issues: mainly DEEPLY BURIED BITTERNESS. What a great interplay of emotional strains, personalities, and misconceptions. Dark forces of the soul that people allow to establish some kind of stronghold in their lives. And all that was needed to heal was forgiveness- to others and to oneself. Clearly, KEATON had the priceless advantage over those who crossed over to the other side: TIME TO SETTLE HIS ISSUES. I think that was the subtle theme from start to finish. THAT TIME IS ALL THAT WE HAVE.
