I think it'd be better as a play

A movie that's just okay, mainly because there's too much talking that eventually dissolves into whining. There's an interesting setup as McGregor's character is dealing with his father coming out late in life and being diagnosed with cancer, but McGregor's mopy behavior gets pretty grating after awhile. The bright spot here is Christopher Plummer, who does some of his best work (and most of the time, his work is pretty damn good, so that's saying something) as the father. His scenes at the end are great, unfortunately you have to sit through some pretty depressing stuff just to get there.
