In what is probably the most outrageous comedy of the year, Hamlet 2 is the story of a high school drama program (Stever Coogan) who in a desperate attempt to save his failing drama program puts on an outrageous play. Lots of jokes directed at religion and race, but most of the humor comes off as "I can't believe they just said that" and it works brilliantly. By the time the show opens, it's met with much controversy that fuels its success.

Coogan is great, Keener and Arquette aren't given much to do but work well with what they have. The high school students though each have their own unique personalities and do a surprisingly good job. By the time the song Rock Me Sexy Jesus rolls around, you should the outrageous show starts to make sense.

I'm taking it down half a star because a majority of its greatest humor is revealed in the trailer, but it's still a great movie.
