Rise of the Planet of the Apes
Prequel Descent Success

Whenever I see a prequel coming out based off of an older popular movie I'm always worried that it will be poor attempt at rebooting a long ago dead series. With advancements in CGI, this movie is obviously a candidate. I had low expectations going into this movie and was happily surprised with what I saw. The CGI was pretty good, but didn't take away from the movie and story itself. The acting was good and the movie kept me engaged throughout. This is one of the better movies for the year. Where they can take this series in the future has great potential. I hope they make all the right decisions.
