One of the best Chabrol films and my personal favorites. Its unexpectedness and the greatness of the two female leads is amazing. Of course the supporting actors are incredibly phenomenal as well. One of my favorites, it never ceases to shock me. This got me on a Ruth Rendell kick (she wrote the book this is based on).
