A delicate and beautiful story unfolds in director Céline Sciamma's first film. A 15 year-old brunette must decide between two of her friends. She develops this crush-like obsession on a beautiful blonde her age, almost like Pinky does for Millie in 3 Women. Marie becomes fed up when she begins to feel Floriane (played by Adele Haenel) is using her. However, soon she discovers Floriane's secret and becomes the only person who can help her. The ending is left wide-open, but at the same time Marie still has to decide whether she will continue to be close to Floriane, when her friend Anne may see this as a sign of betrayal.

The choreography (in the water) was excellent and called to mind Busby Berkeley even if the routines weren't as elaborate. They were still impressive. Good breakout performances by all three leads.
