The scare tactics here are great! One's dreams can be about anything, but the dark turn shifting one's entire reality to a nightmarish freak show are only tics away. The carved knife hand and the burnt body of Freddy Krueger supplied one of the better and more likeable 80's horror villains. The beginning is tough, but that's how unappreciated, low-budget horror gems start.
