NO WAY OUT is a great 80s thriller expertly directed by Roger Donaldson. It boasts a good cast led by Kevin Coster as an amiable if ambitious Navy serviceman caught up in a web of sex, murder, and intrigue. To make things more complicated, since it is the 80s, there runs the risk of dangerous Russian spies on the loose as well. Some of the spy elements are dated because of the Cold War setting but it remains suspenseful thanks to the moral dilemmas imposed upon Costner's character and even his enemies.
