Pacino turns in an endearing understated performance in this tender hearted film about reconnection. The small events in this man's life slowly unfold, giving a gradual insight to his past, present, and future relationships. By opening up to those around him he's able to break out of his personal enclosed space that he's locked himself inside of for so long. There's a smart metaphor with his lock and key profession that pays off in the final scene (one of my favorites all year). Some may find plotting a bit meandering in a couple places, and the pacing slow, but it satisfies if you stick with it.
