A Dog And His Boy

A solid animation all around. Impressive visual style and nice voice work. The time travel aspect allows for some educational value through historical references. That was much appreciated. The story feels slightly lackluster, at times, due to the plain nature of the plot and characters. The humor was quite a mixed bag. Many misses amidst the pratfalls, puns, and obvious situations. Some clever jokes still remain when used in historical reference. This inconsistency caused my enjoyment with the film to stop and start again, with frequency. 'Mr. Peabody & Sherman' is perfectly serviceable and appealing to all ages. It sits right on the very edge of a full recommendation. Others may not have the same problems as I, but my expectations shot through the roof after watching the insanely enjoyable 'Lego Movie'.
