Fever Pitch (2005)
Overacting at It's Best
2.5/4 stars
Last night I was bored, so I just closed my eyes and grabbed something off the shelf. I grabbed Fever Pitch, which is one of those movies that I bought, but only watched once. So why did I waste my money? Because I am addicted to buying movies. Anywho...
Fever Pitch is a cute romantic comedy with a baseball twist. There are really two stories going on, the love story between Barrymore and Fallon and the love story between Fallon and the Red Sox. As a female, I think it is strange that I enjoyed the love story with the Red Sox more. The red sox scenes were sweet, funny, and true to life. I could relate to Fallon's pain (I was raised a Cubs fan).
The acting in the movie was a little forced. Drew Barrymore over acted her role (especially in the begining of the movie), and Fallon, who I love, was a little guilty of the same thing. Having said that, this is a cute date movie that is worth watching.
