I'm not quite sure what to make of this film. First, it's written by Diablo Cody. And I'll admit, I'm not a huge fan of her work. Juno, was good, but not great and this wasn't even as good as that film. We're supposed to be sympathetic towards Charlize Theron's character, but how can you? The performances are good, but I just have no feelings towards Theron's character. I think she got what she derserves.
And I know 2013 was considered the year that cassettes became popular again, but what new model of car has a tape deck in it? Also, this movie came out in 2011, two years prior.
