Samantha (Molly Ringwald) has a crush on the most popular guy in school, and the geekiess guy has a crush on her. And to make matters worse - her family forgets her birthday, as they are too wrapped up in organizing her older sister's wedding.
This movie was a big let down. After loving The Breakfast Club, and Pretty In Pink, I assumed this would be just as great. But I was wrong. The story line and the basics of this movie is good, but lots of it is too silly, and try-hard funny for my liking. Like, for example, the asian exchange student - that was just stupid. They chucked him into the movie, made him act like an idiot, trying make the movie funny, but it didn't work!
