For a Cassavetes lover, this was a disappointment. He's capable of doing so much in the way of capturing emotion and interesting human behavior...what happened here?
This character, and his predicament did nothing for me - I cared very little whether or not he'd get out of it.
I can't say much for the people around him either...For me this film just came off as "ugly."
I'll take Faces any day.
