'Pre' a must see!

For any competitive athlete who has dreams of greatness, this movie should be in their top three of all time. It's a feel good tearjerker which also gives a pretty decent panorama of one of the guys who brought about the running craze of the 70s. Undersized and feisty, 'Pre' became one of the greatest mid' distant runners in World History by his early twenties. Leto is truly awesome in this role. The interviews with those close to him mixed with what is convincingly real 'Pre' footage makes you feel like you were there. My only real criticism is they didn't highlight how awesome he was in Cross Country as well. This is the 'Rudy' of track!

Prefontaine Review comment
Sports biopics are always tricky - you want to get the story right without falling too far into the sentimental side of things. I think Prefontaine does a great job of balancing things out.
