Swinging with the Finkels is a film that only runs for 85 minutes, including credits. However, each minute is an exercise in futility. This film can't decide whether it wants to be a conservative plea for traditional monogamous marriage or a screwball sex comedy, ultimately it fails in both respects due to a poorly written screenplay and being just plain boring.
Mandy Moore is shaping up to be one of the worst actresses of her generation, continuously appearing in terrible rom-coms such as this one. There is no depth to her acting in this film despite her playing similar characters in License to Wed and Love, Wedding, Marriage.
