I can't grasp the fact that it's based on a true story. Allthough all the caracters are great and the movie too. But i guess that if it hadn't been a true story i would've liked it less..

It's funny you say that, because: it actually isn't a true story. None of that happened, except for the wood-chipper scene. The Coen Brothers thought that if they said that at the beginning of the movie, so that the audience would be more accepting of the premise and that's why you liked it more than you initially set out to: because you were deceived into thinking this actually happened. You gotta say, the Coens are clever.
