House at the End of the Street

Not really a horror film!
MovieAddict - wrote on 10/19/12

After the recent divorce of her parents, Elissa (Jennifer Lawrence) and her mother Sarah (Elisabeth Shue) move to a small town where they house they bought turns out to be next to one where a thirteen-year-old girl brutally murdered her parents. Seventeen-year-old Elissa befriends the son, a well mannered but troubled and shy young man Ryan (Max Thieriot), who only survived the ordeal as he was away at boarding school during the time his parents were killed.

The sympathetic Elissa's fascination with Ryan grows especially when she discovers that the other kids in town harass and pick on Ryan much to the dismay of her mother who warns the two not to be together alone but you know this only alienates Elissa further from her mother and makes Ryan seem all the more irresistible. Little does Elissa know that Ryan has some secrets of his own. An edgy thriller with a good enough plot to keep me entertained for the ninety minutes.
