In brightest day, in blackest night, No evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil's might, Beware my power… Green Lantern's light!
The effects are pretty good and our main guy is likable and looks awesome in green skin tight suit. Hal Jordan is a fearless pilot working for Ferris Industries, whose antics during a simulation costs him his job and puts a strain on his relationship with Carol Ferris. (Blake Lively) He is chosen as the new Green Lantern when the dying Abin Sur sends out the ring to find a successor. Whilst Hal is struggling to identify what it means to be a part of the green lantern corps which is basically some sort of cops who guard the universe, and what it is to be without fear, Hector Hammond (Peter Saarsgaard) is called in to examine the Dead Alien from which Hal gained his ring. Unfortunately remnants of Parallax remain inside the wound of the dead alien, and Hammond becomes infected with some kind of telepathic powers and descends into madness. Hal must now defend the universe from the good doctor and the entity of yellow fear, Parallax.
I noticed that Mark Strong (Sinestro) plays a good guy Green Lantern, but when you watch the credits you will see Sincestro trying on the Yellow Ring (the one that produces fear in all). If you watch closely you’ll see his eyes widen and then narrow. Does this mean there will be a Green Lantern 2? I guess we will just have to wait and see.
