This film was based on a true event, and after watching it in the 70s, I found it hard to believe. However, 'the gang that couldn't rob straight', grabs you at the bungling beginning, holds you through the over wrought middle, then squeezes and drops you at the end. Good film, Al Pacino in fine form.
