An American Werewolf in Paris

Wolf or Troll?

If you know me, you know I love werewolf movies. Sometimes I can be uber-critical and sometimes I give opinions with a very open mind. This could be considered a sequel to John Landis 'An American Werewolf in London'; or it could be a "remake" or just a series flick. Either way...there are definitely major parallels between this and London; so sadly the scripting isn't very original.

Back in '97 it was an enjoyable movie. And honestly, I think it still stands up. Friends are on a trip, they get attacked and one of them gets bit by a werewolf. A hot french girl he meets also happens to be a werewolf. They battle other werewolves out to kill all Americans in Paris (and you wonder why the French hate us). Transformations, transformations, transformations.

Now, the nitty-gritty....the werewolves. I understand wanting to use CGI and computers....which was pretty decent. However, I was a bit disappointed by the look of the wolves. I don't know if there was some sort of licensing but it just didn't work too well for me all the time. The bodies and such were great....good muscle structure, good use of letting them walk on two legs and four....but the faces looked more like flat-nosed trolls than wolves.
