I cannot say "White Irish Drinkers" is one of the best dramas I've seen but, I liked the whole movie environment, the sets and specially the plot. Although it might be a bit boring, considering it's a 109 min drama but the development of the story kept me interested throughout the entire time.

The storyline was very well developed as well as the characters. The story is a bit classic; the mother work her ass off to pay the bill, her husband spends half of his paycheck in alcohol and their children are completely messed up because of their parents bad relationship. Typical story apart, the movie was still able to earn my captivity as well as my "6 rating".

I liked the cast choosing, although I only knew Stephen Lang and Karen Allen, generally I think it couldn't be much better. From the way I see it, Stephen Lang had an amazing performance playing the drunk guy who beats the older kid, he was able to shoot through the screen several different feelings; he was supposed to be the bad guy and yet there was a part of me that liked him. WOW!

The Cinematography was good too, they were some fine background pictures and sets such as the graveyard, the theater or the studio.

In my overall opinion "White Irish Drinkers" is a good movie worth watching for those who like dramas with a bit of romance.
