ATM (2012)

Ok, ok, call it a disgraceful piece of crap all you want. Is this thing anything close of a masterpiece? My God, no. But, you know what, I found myself enjoying this movie. Undeniably the acting is horrendous, and the dialogue is laughably bad, but I kind of enjoyed it for what it was. It has cool moments. To me, it's one of those movies to rent on netflix or stream just if you're in the mood for so-bad-it's-kinda-fun type film. I certainly didn't find it agonizingly painful to survive …

I wasn't fond of the first film. I don't intend to put myself through a sequel.

The Devil's Rejects

I found this movie, like other Rob Zombie movies I've seen, repugnant and sickening.  Pure trash.

Flowers for Algernon

I watched this movie as a child and it had a great impact on me. After many years I watched it again and it was the first movie that actually made me cry my eyes out.

The Dark Knight Rises

My favourite pairing is between Bane and Bruce. I find those scenes extremely thrilling and intense.

Concrete ( Konkurîto )

Yeah, I know what you mean. Haven't seen An American crime, but I have seen the first one, and I pretty much felt the same way after watching them. I felt very sad, and wanted to just be a better person. Do something nice to someone, call my parents, get a hug from someone. People are way to mean to eachother.

The Night of the Generals

First, I want to draw attention to the mimic of general Tanz(Peter O'Tool) when seeing the painting of decadent art of Van Gogh. It became the model of going cucu! or nut as you say. The plot was smart, I mean it took us through the years of WW2, but only to find That murderer general. The costumes are great, Omar Sharrif was a young cpt/col. later. I recomand it to be seen with pleasure.

Jack Reacher

Oh, CSI at the top of my list, plus all the characters are "movie star" gorgeous and they're always in danger.  Those are my top pet peeves for any show, also, I hate whining and kvetching!  Had to drop watching Supernatural 'cause all those boys did was cry 'bout their daddy! Still watching but not crazy bout-Being Human, those guys especially need to shut up!  At least they've got cool supernatural powers to play with!Have you seen "Exit Humanity"? it's low budget but …

Thanks so much for that information. It has been on my movie radar since the start of 2011, when I first saw the trailer. I thought that it was already wide-released back then. It's exciting to think it might make it to select theaters here in the U.S.

The Greening of Southie

Last post on 07/08/12 at 01:58 PM CT by mpol

This was a good, well-done documentary about an experiment in building "green" housing.  The first efforts to do so were disastrous, but when things were eventually fixed up, people gradually began to buy up the MacAllen building lofts and live in them.  A documentary that's well worth watching, imho.

Southie was a good movie, with good acting, and fun-filled and action-packed.  I saw it twice, and it was well worth it.
