Why can't directors create instead of rebooting?  Anyways, here is a link of an article about the remake together with the participation of Samuel L. Jackson:

Any thoughts guys?  Never big on remakes especially as great as Oldboy, it remains to be seen.

I would say that 9 times out of 10 all these remakes/reboots are inferior to the original. While I think the cast is looking good for this one, I just don't see how it could match the original: it was visceral, unrelenting and had one of the best twists out of any film in my memory. To even attempt to remake it seems folly. Good luck to all involved, but I just don't see this one coming close to the original. 08/21/2012

Hmm samuel Ljackson in it will destory any credability straight away..
if they have to remake it why not use real more credable actors. edward norton or someone.
if he is in it then it sounds like it will be a silly unbelievable movie aimed at making cash only.

Far to many remakes lately
