Art of the Devil - A horror film from Thailand. The eel death scene was the cream of the crop. I'll get around to the sequel probably this week as well.

I also re-watched Primal Fear - the film that essentially launched Edward Norton's career, and it holds up surprisingly well.

The last movie I saw was Insidious. It shocked me because it genuinely terrified me, and I don't scare easily. Excellent film. 08/30/2012

Insidious (2011)
4/4 stars
I've become rather desensitized to horror films. I thought I was beyond scaring until I saw this disturbing gem. Insidious is haunting, genuinely scary, and well acted. Kudos all around!

Just got done watching 12 Angry Men - Criterion Collection. I have no doubt this is one of the, if not the best courtroom drama that has been put on film. It's so simple, yet so powerful - I can't think of a better cast and Sidney Lumet, along with cinematographer Boris Kaufman deserve just as much credit as the excellent cast. 09/02/2012
