The last (non-theatrical) release I watched was The Red House.
Synopsis: A man (Edward G. Robinson) and his sister (Judith Anderson) raise an adopted daughter, Meg, (Allene Roberts) on their farm. These "mysterious" Morgans have to hire outside help in the form of Meg's friend Nath (Lon McCallister) in order to keep things running. One windy night, Nath attempts to take a shortcut through the woods back home and is warned to keep away from The Red House - thus opening Pandora's Box as the mystery surrounding the house, and what it has to do with Meg, breaks down the family as she seeks the truth with Nath's help.
An overlooked noir that was just recently restored. I received it as a screener copy and was not disappointed.

Saw 3D The (hopefully) Final Chapter - aren't all Saw movies basically the same? A bunch of people die gruesome deaths while we try to figure out whose really pulling the strings. Actually I didn't find this one as bad as some of the later sequels, but they really should have stopped after about the third movie in the series. |

Slacker - Richard Linklater's ode to Gen X - this movie really doesn't have a synopsis, just a bunch of random young people doing random things and yammering about life in a series of vignettes. |
