Moneyball or Drive should have won Best Adapted Screenplay. |

I agree that they got it all wrong this year, Alex. It's frustrating just how many great (and better) films the Academy left out. They seem to have forgotten that entertainment is as important as quality, when it comes to films. 2011 turned out to be a better year in mainstream movies than award bait ones. |

I think Drive is the best movie this year by far. A unique film that was totally unexpected. I have 1 nomination to see this year and a few others but I am confident we will look back on this year and feel they got it all wrong, much like 98, 94, and 1999. Still should be a great show! |

B-Ri, Bridesmaids was one of the few surprise nominees. However, I don't see it winning Best Screenplay either. Midnight in Paris has that category in the bag. I would've nominated 50/50 in this category as well. |

I just watched Bridesmaids again and it does not deserve to be nominated for Best Original Screenplay on my list or the Academy Awards list in my opinion. I choose Crazy, Stupid, Love instead.
Best Original Screenplay: {My Nominees}
1. Courageous {WINNER} 2. 50/50 3. Midnight In Paris 4. Our Idiot Brother 5. Crazy, Stupid, Love
Tonight should be a good show. Go Viola Davis and George Clooney!!

I watched Martha Marcy May Marlene today and I'm just completely baffled as to why it did not obtain ANY nominations. It's the best movie I've seen in 2011. It actually lives up to the praise, unlike most of the nominees this year. Though, I have yet to see 4 of the big nominated films, I don't believe they will go above my expectations the way Martha Marcy May Marlene did. Elisabeth Olsen deserves a place among the Best Actress category this year. |

In my opinion, its a toss up for what movie is the best movie of 2011. Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes or Drive?? I keep going back and forth. So I have decided its a tie between the two. Regardless, both movies should have been nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture. I'm looking forward to this Sunday. Should be a good show. |

The only thing that I can say is that any time see war horse on any list, I almost vomit. Do you have to like or own horses in order to enjoy this movie? |
