Is there anything good coming out the rest of 2011. The only thing I see as of note right now is Hugo, which looks unexciting, and Moneyball, with a September release usually means it is crap.

Anything awesome that is supposed to come out?

Don't forget Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol - and Sherlock Homes: Game of Shadows. I'm also looking forward to Contagion and Dragon Tattoo.

Ides of March is Ryan Gosling going on the political trail of presidential candidate George Clooney and finding out that to win means to play dirty.

Dream House is a Daniel Craig and Naomi Watts moving into a haunted house - given the talent, it may rise above the standard horror fare.

Looper looks great, but doesn't come out until 2012

Looking to be the best contenders:

Ides of March - See above.

J. Edgar - Clint Eastwood directing a biopic with Leonardo DiCaprio - Hopefully can make up for Hereafter

The Descendants - Have to give props to Nebraska native Alexander Payne - also stars George Clooney.

Carnage - Roman Polanski directs - two couples meet after their sons are involved in a schoolyard brawl - Kate Winslet, Jodie Foster, Christoph Waltz and John C. Reilly play the parts - a favorite at festivals.

War Horse - Steven Spielberg and war movies usually make for a good combination, even if this seems a bit on the sappy side of things.

The Iron Lady - Meryl Streep will be up for nomination as Margaret Thatcher, mark my words.

I can honestly say none of these are on my "must watch" list but we'll see how critics and audiences respond to them.

I have been looking for the making of and release of The Rum Diary with Johnny Depp since 2007. The trailer has finally come out and that looks worth going to the theater to see. I forgot about The Iron Lady. Expect an Oscar nod to Streep for this one. I honestly liked Hereafter. It was quieter than what we expect from Eastwood, but for me it worked. Texas Killing Fields looks interesting. That might be Sam Worthington's apology for Clash of the Titans.
