My vote is for Inglourious Basterds, but everyone probably already knew that.  I'm also surprised at a few of the nominees like: The Blind Side, Up, and District 9.  I'm happy for District 9's nomination, cause that's just awesome.  As for the other two, they just don't seem like "Best Picture" material to me.  Also, I didn't realize Avatar was going to be such a hit with practically everyone.  If it wins, it will be a major turning point for this awards show.  The rest of the films I did not see, but they do seem like all great movies from what I've seen and heard.  I'd be happy if any of them won, really. 02/06/2010

Even if Avatar wins, I doubt it will do anything. keep in mind that Return of the Kind also won, which generated over 300 mil in US box office. And then there is Titanic...and you know the story on that one. 02/07/2010

My vote was for "Inglourious Basterds."  The only film I did not see was "An Education," and as for me, I chose the film that best upheld artistic integrity.  "Avatar" though a good, pretty movie to watch, wasn't well-written, well-performed, nor new and interesting.  "The Hurt Locker" and "Inglourious Basterds" are artistic, well-performed, well-written, and well-directed.  "Avatar" is just a part of the money-grubbing, artistically fascist James Cameron who may be the worst director (next to Uwe Boll) of all time (except for "Titanic").   02/23/2010

I said The Hurt Locker. If Avatar wins, I won't be surprised, but I won't be really happy about it. I won't be so annoyed that I will never watch the Oscars again. I would love a surprise and Up In The Air tyo come through.    ;  03/06/2010
