Hi everybody,

We wanted to share some exciting news with our fellow Film Crave community and pose a question about the potential future for VR as an entertainment medium today. We are producing an animated 360 Virtual Reality Sci-Fi Thriller, called AI Nightmare, and wanted to share some of the first scenes (WIP) as an example to see what you thought in regards to our bigger question of how VR fits into today's entertainemnt world and industry as a form of modern storytelling?

Virtual Reality is becoming a huge topic these days with VR games and 360 footage popping up everywhere. It delivers a unique viewing experience allowing you to step into the middle of the action using a VR headset...but do you think the medium is ready for the average cinema goer, media consumer, etc? Is there new potential in the immersive story telling properties of VR or is it still too avant-garde to be widely accepted specifically as a form of narrative film (technological and financial arguments aside)? We're curious if Film Crave members can provide their thoughts on this matter so we can better approach making immersive VR experiences for the future?

Check it out:

Scene 2: atch?v=dxponFZdOm0 ; 46

Let us know what you think. Constructive feedback on the film itself is welcome as well. Thank you for your support and we look forward to reading your insightful comments!

The concept behind AI Nightmare was conceived in-house at Lindero Edutainment and produced on the Unreal Engine 4; Maya; 3Ds Max and Adobe Premiere Pro CC, etc. Full-length content will be released in September of 2017 with plans to submit the finished film to 2018 International Film Festivals.
