For my .02 I think they should have stuck with the original title All You Need is Kill - but apparently Edge of Tomorrow must just not have been as eye-catching as they wanted - hence the title upgrade.

Weird.  I noticed that when I was on imdb the other day.  I guess the "Live, Die, Repeat" marketing was so sucessfull that they're trying to push it even farther to help promote dvd sales.

So the summer movie season is over,  And I think it's pretty fair to say that Edge of Tomorrow was far and away the best blockbuster of the year.  Or at least it's the best would be blockbuster, the movie didn't even make 100 million domestic!  But despite it's underwhelming box office, I really think this one is going to go down in history as a true action/adventure classic.  If you haven't seen it yet, I heavily recommend renting it when it comes out on DVD October 7th!

It is a very good flick.  Could have been great with a few changes.  Absolutely worth seeing on the big screen

I for one have been telling all my friends and family to go see it.  I know it probably won't help, but I really want this movie to do well.  Chris is probably right on this one, the movie made 82 million overseas on it's first weekend (more then double what it made domestically,) so that's really were any hope for the movie is

Sci-fi films have been disappoint of late - pretty much everything from Prometheus to Elysium has been a letdown (and I won't even get in to After Earth), so it's nice to find a film that exceeded my expectations for once. Still, I have a feeling that even with the good response it had gotten, the best chance for Edge of Tomorrow to really succeed depends on international numbers. That being said, you should go watch it if you haven't - it's worth the ticket.

I agree with you Smeagol.  Just because a movie doesn't make a lot of money that doesn't necessarily mean it won't be well remembered.  That said I still hope that "Edge" holds well over the next few weeks due to word of mouth.  If that happens it could pull a "Now you See Me" and become surprise hit.

very surprised it didn't hit number 1 at the box office. i guess people are just a little tired of cruise and action flicks. think he needs to do some real acting roles and flit between those and the more minastream action types .rathe than just do the same kind of hero parts.though worldwide im sure it will do well. and box office takings dont really matter much when it comes to quality anyway. the biggest can be the poorest movies and the least can go on to be classics

I thought this was a good sci-fi/action film - certainly better than Oblivion. Surprised it didn't do better overall at the box office, but it deserves more respect than it received.
