From what I understand, the people who have seen this did really like it - it's just that it didn't attract enough of those people I admit after being burned a bit by John Carter, I'm much pickier on big budget films. I will see Oz - but I won't watch Jack until I can do it from my room.

I saw Jack the Giant Slayer and loved it! The CGI action added to the story, but didn't overwhelm it.

I have yet to see this one, but I had hoped Jack the Giant Slayer would do well. I wonder if people in the studio will lose their jobs over this.

Is anyone else getting a John Carter vibe from this movie? Everything I've seen suggests that the story is going to be too heavily reliant on CGI effects and not matter who is involved, I have a feeling they're not going to list this near the top of their film resume. With a reported $180 million budget (with some placing it closer to $200) - I see this as the first big-budget movie to fall flat this year. Whether it qualifies as a certified bomb remains to be seen - but it better hope that foreign grosses turn out well.
