So, who's going to say the line "You sunk my Battleship?" But then again, Pirates of the Caribbean was based on a freakin' Disney ride and it managed to do pretty good for itself. Still, have to agree it looks like another generic action flick. |

It would be great if Hollywood would get off the alien bandwagon. Must every movie have aliens in it? So predictable and boring at this point, even when the whole U.S. military fleet is in on the action. Is Liam Neeson taking career lessons from Nicolas Cage? I honestly thought he was in a higher class, but after Battleship and Clash of the Titans, I might have to reconcider. |

Does anyone think this has a chance of topping The Avengers this weekend? I'm going, but I still think it will be worse than Transformers. Despite the names involved, I don't think it will be able to top the super heroes at the box office. |

I may be wrong about this one, but I really don't think Battleship will do well outside of teenagers. I think you are right about this being on the same level as Transformers. I just might see The Avengers again this coming weekend. The second time might be even better on the IMAX screen. I saw Dark Shadows this past weekend. It was not too bad. Only the last 30 minutes of the movie fell flat. |
