jackie earle haley was definitely awesome and i'll say it, scarier than englund was. Englund, by no fault of his one, turned the role into something like the chucky doll, more of a mark hamill joker than a heath ledger joker if you get what i mean. The only that sucks about this series is the body count is usually pretty low. That's what made Jason such an awesome slasher villain: he just killed anything and everything.

Saw it, liked it. I have to admit Freddy looked a bit like a chipmunk or something at times but I thought it could have used a bit of nudity like other good horror movies and a little less of the emo kids. The back story was pretty cool. For a re-imagination I have to say I have seen a hell of a lot worse. 2.5 stars almost 3

Early indicators point to upwards of $35 million - and sequel talks have already started. Looks like people were in the mood for horror. Not really a prediction, but there you go.

Why do they keep remaking these horror movies. It is not like the original was good? Oh well. There is nothing worth a crap coming out this weekend so I might as well see the new Nightmare on Elm Street.

I have the highest of hopes for this movie.  More so than any other film this year.  Huge fan of the original.  I'll be first in line.
