I will start with please see the original Swedish film A Man Called Ove. I believe It to be one of the best films of 2016. This version doesn't work near as well because of some drab sitcom like writing that often veers into Sapsville. a later subplot that seems to scream " look at how inclusive we are" felt thrown in and somewhat flat. Tom Hanks is good as the surly Otto but when isn't he good? Overall it's just a so-so film that pales in comparison to the original. 2 1/2 Joints
