Plot: Deanna has been a dedicated wife for a long time - so is thrown for a loop when her husband suddenly leaves her. Instead of dwelling on this change, she throws herself head-first and goes back to college - landing in the same school and class as her daughter. A comedy where Melissa McCarthy goes to college should be full of raunchy hilarity, but "Life of the Party" plays it too safe.
