I am a fan of horror and can become easily scared sometimes, yet this movie not only was full of plot holes but i was not creeped out in the least. Not worth seeing at all. |

Another attempt to remake a superb Japanese horror film that falls flat on its face. Tired acting, bad dialog, sub-par scares... maybe it's time to think of something original again. |

Very predictable waste of time. |
|
I walked into the theater not expecting much from this film, and that's basically what I got. Not much.
The premise is very tired (paranormal evil invades our computers, brings death and destruction) the plot is convoluted, and the acting is sub-par. Kristen Bell gives a weepy, melodramatic performance, while Christina Milian and Ian Somerhalder are basically extended cameos. The characters are pitifully undeveloped, and the interaction between them is awkward and forced. Unfortunately, I imagine the actors did the best they could with what they were given. The film itself utterly fails to fit the description of a "horror" title. For a movie about malicious ghosts spreading throughout our telecommunications technology, it's hardly scary. Even scenes that are meant to make you jump in you... |

Pulse |
|
Pulse is a terrible movie that should not qualify as a horror, or a scary movie, not to mention that it should not have been made at all. not much goes right in this film. The entire cast overacts, The writing is embarrassing and the direction is lazy. This is another japanese remake that has a good premise, but lacks emotion. Nothing is ever resolved, leaving the film empty and pointless. The ending seems like it's from another film entirely. This film is what you would get if you mixed Resident Evil and The Ring together, those two had something to offer, well, The Ring did at least. |

Hey, you're that Veronica chick, right? |
|
While Kairo was a tense, scary, and well developed film this remake is completely inept and boring. Nothing is upgraded and not a single little thingee, even the red tape, is a step up from Kairo. Therefore, watch the original drudgees and avoid this and its ridiculous straight-to-dvd sequels. |

Flatlined from the get-go |
|
Maddeningly inept horror concoction which not only can't explain what the hell is going on, but also changes the entire approach from the original Japanese chiller (which got it right!); the actors are less than enthralling and the script and other technical merits are embarrassing. Final Grade: D |
