This is a fun take on Dickens' classic novel. The villains are surprisingly menacing for a Disney film and the songs, as always, are the highlight of the movie.

A twist on the 'Oliver Twist' tale. I just didn't care for it at all. One of Disney's weaker films.

One of the weaker Disney efforts - the mid to early 90s was a rough time for Disney and as far as I'm concerned this film epitomizes the studio's trouble. Completely standard in every way from animation to story to even the music.

Let me start by saying this will be a rather bias review, as I’ve always hated this movie. I’m not sure why, but it’s always rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe it’s Billy Joel (as Dodger), maybe it’s Bette Midler (as Georgette), I don’t know. I just can’t stand anything about it.

I suppose I still must find something good about the movie. I guess the acting is fine. I think the story could have been much better if they had stuck to the original story more. The music is fine, the animation is fin...
