It's not as stupid as "Napoleon Dynamite" but it's still pretty darn stupid. The funniest bits were presented in the trailers and those are typically the worst because they hype up the movie. I rarely laughed while watching this picture but, I must admit, I did chuckle here and there. Believe it or not, I did enjoy some of the wrestling matches even though they were really corny. Jack Black is a funny guy; it's just that the script is really unfunny. There were a lot of slapstick jokes and I'm not exactly the biggest fan of that comedy subgenre. Just when I thought the movie was going to get better, it did not. It's a good thing I saw this movie in a good mood or else I would have written a harsher review. |
