Fun, creative premise for the most part that just doesn't have enough laughs and Uma Thurman's jealousy is a bit too much to believe. Final Grade: C+ |

Tries to walk that comedy romance line and yet fails on both accounts. A few chuckles, but nothing spectacular and not enough chemistry between leads to generate any romance. Skip it. |

This movie was really better than expected. It showed great views of New York City and had a fun storyline. This comedy is well worth your time. |

It was a nice movie... and that's my problem with it. It's just... nice. It didn't provide any heavy emotional impact. I know this is supposed to be your typical romantic comedy sprinkled with a superhero storyline and it's supposed to be bubbly. It's just that even though it tried to do something different by giving its audiences twists (such as making the superhero unlikable), it wasn't deep enough. I say that because I saw social commentaries about gender and identity throughout the film. It could have been another "Chasing Amy" but its ambition was too low. As a result, we get this flimsy movie with somewhat one-dimensional characters. Perhaps in the hands of a better director, this could've been so much more.
