"M:I-3" is not only as electrifying as the first two, but also much darker and emotionally satisfying.

R.I.P. Philip Seymour Hoffman. Super spy agent is back again as he tries to protect his girlfriend from an arms dealer who has a way of giving headaches. This movie as action and a cliche villain... nice.

JJ Abrams injects a fair amount of character development into the third Mission: Impossible film, diving deeper than before into the relationships between the spy team. Cruise's relationship with his new wife is one of the film's successful surprises. The action, of course, also doesn't disappoint as explosions and fight scenes abound.

Mission: Impossible III

"Alias" is written all over this film. From the camera angles, exotic locations, to the chicanery of both heroes and villains, it's such a delight to see more of J.J. Abrams' talent after "Alias" ended. What I liked about this film most is the seemingly neverending action scenes. The second one lacked the subtly of the first and the pure adrenaline of this one, which makes it the weakest. But this one and the first film stand out because they are opposites. This picture is more in-your-face, fast-paced, and unpredictable. Nonetheless, this film could've been better if its tone was a bit darker like in the first film. If this movie was half espionage and half pure action, reaching some sort of balance, it would have been unstoppable. Still, it's not bad at all and I believe that this is …
