A fun biopic. I enjoyed this take on the 70's skateboard scene so much that I wished I was there. It also has a great soundtrack full of some of my favorite tunes.

A bizarre hybrid of addictingly watchable and absurd enough to make fun of. Cool documentary feel, and Ledger is terrific as he sleazes it up as Skip

Decent biopic of the early skateboard scene held aloft thanks to the late, great Heath Ledger who turns in the best performance. As others have said, the movie loses steam about halfway through. Still an interesting, if flawed film.

I liked all that... but I can't quite give it another star because I feel like this film is widely uneven. The grittiness that I admired during the first hour quickly dissipated half-way through it. The skateboarding stunts made me try to not look away from the screen but that, too, got uninteresting as it went along. It's uncommon for me to get movies …
