Ladykillers is the type of movie, that would be better if it were a drama. This is definitely one of the Coen Brothers most disappointing movies. While it is well Directed, It's not well written or funny. Tom Hanks is a letdown and is actually annoying as Professor Dorr. Marlon Waynes is OK as his sidekick. Irma P. Hall however, is good as the noisy old lady, but she can't do better then J.K Simmons who steals the film as Garth Pancake. I'm a fan of dark humor, but this doesn't have that. A Waste of enormous talents in front of and behind the camera. |
