An obvious attempt to cling onto the Quentin Tarantino bandwagon, this sensationalist and rather ugly film would probably have been forgotten if it weren't for the cast. Unfortunately, all the characters are unsympathetic and their relationships unbelievable; only Brad Pitt's amusingly amoral thug sticks in the memory.

Average movie turned into a very good movie solely on Brad Pitt's performance. Pitt really turns it on as a completely disgusting, illiterate, crazy and demented serial killer who steals every seen he's in. The rest of the cast is like an anchor, trying their best to drag the movie down.

This one seemed like it might have been made for TV. Duchovny is a bore (like he was in the x-files) but Pitt's performance is different than most. For serial killer movie fans, this one will please you, but it is nothing special.
