Although there are some well-done special effects, the film is missing the heart and "coming of age" themes that the book has. It is a pretty fun, family-friendly film, however. |

Would have been better if it could loosen up, but Indian in the Cupboard is too stiff and boring to have the same impact as, say, E.T. A good effort that falls short of being a magical experience. |
