This spy-comedy is a little too laidback for its own good. But Walter Matthau is pretty funny in this.

A cheeky sneak of a movie. This sly government espionage tale combines subtle comedic wit with a routine, but non-fanciful, chase plot. It's fun watching Matthau cheerily administer sweet payback through constant trickery of his opponents. There's nothing else to the film besides this. It's mostly played with realism, having only minor emphasis on the comedic element. Very subdued, but easily watchable and straight-forward for this genre. Decent flick.
