A retread of the previous films, but with a different kid and bad guys. This one is more dumbed down and almost all about these 'traps' that Alex sets for these criminals.

Home Alone 3 tries but doesn't come close to the first one or the second one. and it doesn't offer anything new, except for the fact that the kid is left alone on purpose this time. Alex D. Linz is okay as the child. and the film gets some credit for having smarter bad guys. but we've seen all of this before, and by this time around, the idea is old and stale. One of the best things about this movie is that you get a chance to see Scarlett Johannson(playing the sister) before she became famous. good thing she went on to better material.

I try to put this on when I have trouble sleeping. Then amazingly...I fall asleep.

Ugh, for what it was worth, at least Macaulay Culkin was interesting in his antics. This is just painful - unfunny, trite, trying to regain some of that original magic and capturing none. Stay far, far away forever.
